AMAZING COLOR ILLUSIONS lesson
Would you believe it if we told you all the circles in the images to the right are yellow? Well it’s true!
Science Delivered has teamed up with Dr. David Novick to bring you illusions students can explore. The illusions will help them learn that their perception of the world is all “in their head!” If you are able to print on transparencies students can manipulate and create their own illusions. If this printing is unavailable students can explore digital files and/or watch the illusions on video. Help your students learn about sensory inputs and the brain-body connection with this awe-inspiring activity.
These lessons can be used as part of NGSS standard 4-LS1-1 Use a model to describe that animals receive different types of information through their senses, process the information in their brain, and respond to the information in different ways. They can also be used for any standards grades 3-12+ that focus on the brain and body connections.
